Cooperative Grant Making Partner
The Dallas Women’s Foundation encourages individuals and corporations to use the Foundation’s tax benefits and grant-making expertise through a cooperative funding partnership. DWF solicits the grant requests, performs due-diligence, and funds the approved programs in the name of the corporation. We put your company’s community dollars to good work with minimal effort. And, granting through the Dallas Women’s Foundation also provides you recognition at events and in DWF publications throughout the year.

Donor Designated Grants
A donor may provide funds to the Foundation with the request that the funds be given to a particular nonprofit agency. Once the gift is made, however, the funds become the property of the Foundation. The agency is researched carefully to determine whether its mission is consistent with the charitable purposes of the Foundation and whether it is fiscally and programmatically sound. The Foundation then awards the grant to the named agency only if the results of the due diligence process are favorable.

Advised Funds
Corporations or organizations make gifts to the Dallas Women’s Foundation in an advised fund and then recommend how to grant those dollars. This allows groups to create a giving circle of sorts, with individuals and corporate dollars serving as an endowment for long-term granting. Donors are able to claim a charitable deduction. Currently, Women of Texas Instruments make grants to fund Science, Technology and Math programs for girls through a Donor Advised Fund. Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) also has a donor advised fund designated for economic self-sufficiency programs and prevention/early intervention for girls.
