Grants Committees

Grants Review Committee

• Assesses grant applications, conducts site visits and makes funding recommendations to ensure fair and equitable distribution of the Foundation’s funding resources
• Two opportunities to serve on the Grant Review Committee:
  • Fall Grants Cycle (letters go out in July)
  • Spring Grants Cycle (letters go out in January)
• New committee each cycle. Limited number of new & experienced volunteers are utilized each cycle.

Grants Policy Committee*

• Reviews grant making policies and procedures
• Comprised of experienced former Grants Review Committee members

Luncheon Committee

Philanthropy Committee

Peer Advisory Committee*

• Comprised of North Texas research professionals.  Members review and comment on Foundation research initiatives, bringing a broad range of technical expertise to the Foundation's work.  Peer advisors have sometimes provided the gift of hands-on assistance in specific research projects.

Research & Advocacy Committee*

• Ad hoc committee of the board established in June 2011 to develop processes for adopting new research and advocacy initiatives as well as to create strategic plans for any projects that are currently underway.
